Joseph E. Newgarden, Jr.  (1929-2017)

Newgy Industries, Inc. was founded by Joe Newgarden, a ping pong enthusiast, who originally started working on the invention of the Robo-Pong table tennis robot as a hobby in 1972. Three years later his hobby became a business. The table tennis robot took 16 years of research and development before its first commercial release in 1988. Robo-Pong® debuted to rave reviews from the table tennis community. It is a pattern that has continued with each new generation of Robo-Pong table tennis robots.

Mr. Newgarden’s legacy carries on as Newgy Industries continues to innovate and refine the Robo-Pong platform to deliver the best quality table tennis robots with industry-leading functionality to meet the demands of the global table tennis community.
